a A R
A Hot Head, A Failure and a Pokemon

I've really been loving trying to produce completed illustrations start to finish using the iPad. Here are some more recent art pieces that I've done using the iPad Pro and Clip Studio paint.
Ghost Rider:

This was just my take on the character. Modelled after Michael Jackson in 'Beat It' (loosely).

A Failure:

A character design I didn't like ultimately, but liked the rendering enough to finish off with colours.

A Pokemon (Mimikyu):

Never really was a Pokemon fan, but my kids love it now and Mimikyu is both evil and well-designed. Took a crack at upping the tension. What is under that disguise?

Here is another, larger attempt at a full Clip Studio Paint illustration using the iPad Pro. I didn't really have a plan in place other than some basic elements. Tried to pick colours and techniques I didn't normally use, apart from the new tech setup, just to stretch the ol' creative muscles a bit. I'm not 100% sold on this (am I ever?) but I like it enough to try some of the things I'd worked out here again in other places. Enjoy!

This was done initially for another Illustration Friday topic, but I was just shy of finishing it in time.

Done completely on an iPad Pro with Clip Studio Paint. It's been a learning curve for sure, but I'm enjoying the process. It will be interesting to see how Photoshop translates to the iPad Pro, and which one I'll gravitate to more when that happens.
